PLAY CYCLES
MUSEUM OF LONDON
Public Realm

Play Cycles is a mobile play programme for the Museum of London in partnership with City of London, facilitated by mobile structures which
celebrates the power of play at all ages to
transform the city, and
considering ways of
making joyful and
welcoming spaces
accessible to all.

We focus on intergenerational family groups across the City of London and Islington, particularly those with limited access to existing cultural provision and play resources. The mobile play structures attract families from across London, developing our wider audiences and bringing visitors back into the City and in particular to the Museum of London’s new home in West Smithfield.
programme will inform elements of the Smithfield public realm
redevelopment, exploring creative and accessible ways to seed
the conditions and permissions for play, as well as the activities
themselves.
